Location Map
Seven Points - Double D Lake
Description:
This huge 250 acre lake is a former gravel pit that was used to pave many of the roads and highways that many of our North Texas members now drive on. The property is an active sand, gravel and a concrete mixing company. The Trinity River overflows its banks several times a year into this lake adding to the diversity of the fishing.
This lake has huge Catfish, Carp, Buffalo, Gar, Bass and tons of Crappie. Live bait is acceptable on this property so catching some of these Rough Fish can be a blast.
This lake is not a bass fishing lake, not that you could not catch bass, but it has not been managed for that purpose. You may keep up to 15 crappie and 5 catfish per person on your trip.
Please note that this property has many gravel pit lakes and you are not permitted to fish or access any other lakes. Moreover, this is an active business and you are not permitted to drive around the property. Simply enter the gate and proceed directly to the boat launch area; which is only a few hundred feet from the entrance. You may launch full sized boats from this lake using the gravel boat ramp. You are able to use gas powered engines, but anything above idle speed is not recommended as there are humps that are just below the surface of the water.
There is no boat available on this lake.
