Location Map
Bonham - Flag Springs
Description:
Flag Springs is a 50-acre lake that was built around 1970. It was drained in 1990 and re-dug. At that time the lake was restocked with Florida strain bass, catfish, crappie, bluegill and various forage fish. The bass are very healthy with above average size and strength. The lake is wide open so there is not a lot of protection from the wind. There are a couple of islands and most of the structure for the bass would be vegetation. Currently, there is no boat available for club use. However, there is a concrete boat ramp for large boats and the bank fishing is good. Access to the lake is easy with a car even during rainy days.
A four bedroom lodge is available with a pool table. There is a boathouse on the water with restrooms.
