In one simple word this place is SPECIAL. This property is impeccably maintained and has everything a family, corporate group, or just a group of guys needing some rest and relaxation would want.
There are 3 cabins, each with their own boat dock and stone outdoor fire place and grills. Drew's cabin and Chris's cabin are two bedroom, two bath cabins with lofts and large living areas. Chris's cabin is located closest to the owners home, boat house, basketball court, shuffle board area, playground and the fisherman's cabin. The fishermans cabin is great for two people with a pull out couch and a loft with a queen bed.
These cabins are not a place to just lay your head for the night, but rather equipped with all the conveniences of home, with slate counter tops, full kitchens, flat screen TV's. You may read more about the cabins in the lodging section. This is the place for family reunions, company functions, or just a great place to take the family. There is a hiking trial all the way around the lake, you are welcome to bring your bike or simply walk around the entire lake. There is a basketball court, shuffleboard area and brand new kids playground. No pets allowed. When someone says we want a first class place, this property goes to the top of the list.
The lake is a 62 acre spring fed lake that stays full year round and is as beautiful as any lake in the club. The lake is long and narrow, making it fish like a lake twice its size. The water is clear and fish can be seen 6 feet below the surface. There is 1 new bass tracker boat equipped with raised seating, batteries, foot controlled trolling motors and fish finders available for an additional charge. There is a second boat, a jon boat with raised seats, trolling motor and battery available for an additional charge. A third Bass Tracker boat is sometimes available. These arrangements can be made if the landowner is not planning to use the 3rd boat.
Currently, the lake is overcrowded with smaller underweight bass. Most of the bass you will catch will be under 1 lb. However, larger fish are in the lake and more than 8 fish over 6.5 lbs were reported to the club in 2011. You will probably not catch your personal best while fishing this lake, but you should enjoy some great accommodations at a fist class ranch. Recently, there have been 4 fish feeders added to the lake to feed the forage fish. One of our goals as a club is to increase the size of the fish, by harvesting all bass 12" and under.
PWF offers a package that includes Friday afternoon through Sunday Afternoon lodging and fishing. Up to 8 people for a flat rate of $1000. We have larger packages for up to 21 people. Perfect for small family reunions, company retreats or multiple couple getaways. Call the office for all the details.
A great way to spend a two or three day weekend is to fish Longbranch Yates Place one day and this location the other. They are only 25 minutes apart. There is not much in the way of restaurants, but a convenience store 1/2 way between Laneville and Longbranch in the town of Minden has a place that serves hamburgers. It is the only thing in Minden and for that matter the only thing between the two properties.
Please note this a large property and large lake and on occasion there maybe another group in one of the other cabins and on the lake. The cabins are more than 100 yards apart.

Directions:
2.75 hours SE of downtown Dallas and 2.75 NE of downtown Houston. 1 hour SE of Tyler.
Parking
Most members will be staying in the cabins. So, parking next to the cabins is suggested. Drew's cabin and Chris's cabin offer covered parking for two vehicles.
If you are not lodging, but plan on using the boats. Park above the owners home next to the guest house/barn and walk down to the boat dock through the black iron gate.
If you are not lodging but bringing your own boat, park next to Drew's cabin and launch your boat from the concrete boat ramp next to the pavilion.

Remove all fish from the boats live well and take with you or, place in the large fish basket on the dock.
**ALL GUESTS (fishing and non-fishing) must submit a guest agreement form. Forms can be found in the General Info section of our website or, contact the club office to request a copy. (Outings subject to cancellation without guest agreements submitted)

Lodging: Requires 3 days notice. If lodging last minute, call the club office for arrangements.
Realtor key boxes are on each cabin door. Remove the black cover and type in the code provided then push down the lever to expose the key. Be sure to read and abide by the check in and check out requirements found posted on the wall of each cabin.
When taking large groups, you must sign the landowners release form prior to using the facilities. Copies will be located inside the cabin.
Boats: Do not use the outboard motor. Use only the trolling motor. Please check your boat before departing and make sure you have a life vest on board for each passenger (located in boat house closet).
Tracker boat has a quick connect attached to the battery. Remember to disconnect before leaving and to reconnect after fishing, for the next user.
The camo boat battery is located in the closet. Make sure the drain plug is in prior to launching. The drain plug is usually found on the middle seat of the boat. When finished, take the battery out and return to the closet closest to the walkway; putting the trickle charger back on the battery.
Boats are an additional fee. The Tracker boat is $50.00 a day or $75.00 for the weekend. Camo boat is $25.00 for the day or $50.00 for the weekend.

Lodging Description
Cabin 1 (Drew's Cabin)- Sleeps 8. Is a two bedroom and two bath secluded cabin away from the other 2 cabins and the owners home. Bedroom 1 and 2 both have a King bed. There is an upstairs loft that will require you to climb a ladder with a double mattress and a single mattress. There are two futons that pull out to a double bed in the living area. Each bedroom has its own flat screen T.V. There is a TV in the kitchen and another TV and poker table in the living area. All linens and modern kitchen conveniences are provided. Outside your backdoor is your own 12 foot tall stone fireplace with two stainless steele gas grills. A pavilion and large dock are also provided
Cost is $160 a night for two people and $15.00 for each additional person. An additional $50.00 cleaning fee is required during your stay.
Cabin 2 (Chris's Cabin) Sleeps 8. Is a two bedroom and two bath cabin. Bedroom 1 and 2 each have their own bathroom and King beds. There is an upstairs loft that will require you to climb a ladder with two double mattress's. There are two futons that pull out to a double bed in the living area. A TV is provided in the kitchen and living area. This cabin is close to the basketball court, shuffleboard court and kids playground. This cabin has its own pavilion, fire pit, and two DSC stainless steel gas grills. A large dock in front of the cabin is great for fishing. All linens and modern kitchen conveniences are provided.
Cost is $160 a night for two people and $15.00 for each additional person. An additional $50.00 cleaning fee is required during your stay.
Cabin 3 (Fisherman's Cabin). Sleeps 2. This 300 sq ft cabin is small and designed for 1 or 2 people. There is a double mattress in the loft above the kitchen; which you access by ladder and a futon that can double as a separate bed. Comes with microwave, hot plate, linens and TV with local channels only. This cabin has a huge fire pit and you may use the gas grills and pavilion between the two cabins.
Cost is $90.00 a night for two people, plus $15.00 a night for each additional person. A $25.00 cleaning fee is required during your stay.
