Visited China Grove this past week end. Family gathering for Fathers day… and in this case Grandfathers Day as well. Really great place to take children and help them learn about fishing and how to appreciate the great outdoors. We caught most likely Bream, some localized and according to Devon… some were hybrids… large and maybe as big as my hand. The kids had a wonderful time. As far as bass fishing we caught 6 bass… 6” to about 2 pounds. Lots of fight… even in the small ones and fish were healthy. Caught mostly on barbless plastic baits. 
There are several cabins on the place all away from each other and we found the other folks there renting other cabins a night or two to be return guests… as often as monthly. We stayed in the Bunk House… could not have been any better Met the Owner… visited with him several times Mr Weatherford ...really a very accommodating man… did everything he could to make our family trip as good as he could.
Fishing for brim was phenomenal ... bass fishing was marginal.. overall a very good trip…. really good place for kids.
