Man, this place is awesome. Water clarity is perfect; just a slight tea color and perfect for casting flies. Launched right at sunrise and started casting a popper off the dam. Quickly had 3 bites the first ten minutes. The wind picked up and we switched to a a streamer in the grass and finally found a pattern mid morning. We would cast a white weedless fly on an intermediate line and strip it fast from the bank. Most hits were within 20 feet of the bank. Fish are spawning on any sandy bank with vegetation.
Finished up with 22 bass up to 5 pounds, most in the 3s. Two culls, 2 crappie, and a 6 pound catfish under the dock feeder.
