Mike and I fished from 12:30 to 6:30.  Water temperature was 79 degrees, water clarity 3 ½ feet and lake looked full.  We caught 56.  The biggest was 4 ¼ lbs.  We caught 10 more that were between 3 lbs and 4 lbs.  All the fish were fat and looked above weight to us, plus great fighters.  We harvested 14 bass and 4 crappies.  A Rat-L-Trap was the best lure by far.  But a chatterbait and a Texas rigged lizard did produce.  The majority of the fish were caught a long the east bank on the edge of the grass.  Nothing caught by the dam, caught a couple of the west side and didn’t go into the north end of the lake.  Water level low and lots of grass.  This is a great lake that we will fish again this year.  It has a lot of grass which is very amagable and it was nice not to have to deal with alge bloom.  Saw a number of deer late in the afternoon and a couple more on the drive out.
