We got on the water around 8:00 am and didn’t get a bite until 9:30.  There were fish on beds, and we spent a lot of time sight fishing with little luck before noon.  After a lunch break, we shifted to soft plastics around laydowns and rocks and had a steady bite all afternoon.  When the bass bite got slow my son would pick up his bobber rod and pick up a few bluegill.
