Fished the beautiful HIckory Creek lake on a warm sunny Monday.  Winds started at 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 20 or more, but settled to agood breeze later in the afternoon.  The lake remains 2 or 3 ft lower than normal but access to most but the shallowest parts remains good.  Water is stained with visibilty of  12 to 18 inches.  The bite was slow and fairly steady all day with fish scattered all around the lake.  Tried a bunch of different lures, caught one or two on most of them  with spinners and soft plastics giving the best results.

The landowner stopped by to say hello and catch up.   Has had a just few inches of rain recently but minimal runoff as the land drinks up the the moisture.  The ranch is well-maintained as always and a great place to enjoy a nice day out.  Thanks to the club and landowner for making it available to us.
