Had a great day, as always, at Twin Lakes 9/5. My college age daughter came over from Tech, and we got there at sunrise. Not much topwater action. We got a few on senkos around the bank. All over the upper lake, the bass were rounding up baitfish and busting them on the banks. Out of probably 10 trips to this lake, I had never seen this before. We went through several baits with limited success, and finally pulled out some flukes, trying to match the hatch. They worked well in the 100 degree heat. We went down to the lower lake around 300, but it was very stained, and launching the boat would have been difficult due to the muddy bank and low water. We got some rain, and it cooled off about 10 degrees. While there was lightning, we just fished from the bank by dock, which was out of the water, and we got a few more on flukes. When it was safe, we went back out in our boat, and got a few more on flukes, and my daughter caught a few on a plopper. Probably caught around 40, which is a little lower than normal for us at this lake, but we got a few good ones.
