Weather was ideal, low wind, clear skies. Grass was not ideal. Over 50% of the lake was covered in a thick grass/hydrilla and dying lily pads. Made getting to open water tough. Coves were completely choked off. Early bite was on a small zara spook at the edges of the grass, once the sun hit the bite stopped and the fish got quiet. Used weedless plastics to fish holes in the grass and deeper areas where the fish seemed to move. Slow bite, ended with 15 small ones pulled, larger fish were there but were under the grass and didn’t want to bite.
