My wife and I fished Yates Place on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning with mixed results. Recent big fish reports, (way to go Tom and others!), motivated me to ignore the cool front over the weekend and to rationalize that we were on a warming trend. After all, you go when you can go! Right? Anyway, the water temp was down to a low of 70 degrees. The fish we did find had moved out to the few trees and stumps that are visible along the creek channel in deeper water. We managed a total of 11 fish with 3 harvested, up to 3.4. We did lose 3 or 4 others that would exceed that, so there were some bigger fish biting, we just didn't get them in the boat. Lizards and square bill crankbaits were most effective. The thing that keeps you going back to a place like Yates, is no matter what the conditions, there's always the chance of hanging a lifetime bass! And for that I l am grateful!

Larry,
You have had a lot more bad days than good ones, lately. Yates as been on fire. Your luck is bound to change and you will clean up.
