Bennett Lake is a 40 acre lake that has all the peace and tranquility you are looking for. This lake has built in the 1950's and is surrounded by the splendor of oaks, elms, red buds, dogwoods and of course pines trees. The water is generally tea colored like most east Texas lakes and is up to 30 feet in some spots. There are catfish, crappie and of course giant large mouth bass. Over the last two decades Bennett lake has produced dozens of fish over 10 lbs. Many members have set their PB at this lake.

Requirements

BOAT IN SLIP IS NOT FOR MEMBER USE

***MANDATORY!!! Remove all bass 14" and under at this site. You may keep all crappie and catfish under 15 lbs. Report the total # removed of each species to the club office through the online reservation system after your outing***

Do not drive across the landowner's yard to get to the lake. You can drive down the left side (far edge) of the yard to get your boat to the launch area. Use caution and do not rut up the property if wet.

General Directions

Between Palestine and Crockett. App. 2 1/2 hours (145 miles) south of downtown Dallas. App. 2 1/2 hours (140 miles) north of downtown Houston.
