Whats up with Lakota being closed? Sure hope it is only temporary as it is a great lake.

Not sure if it is closed permentely or temporarily. Our attemps to reach the landowner for the past 3 months have been unsuccessful. So, we have closed the lake until we hear back.

Ok, thanks Steve. Both times I have been there, the lock would not work, but the other lock on the other end would open by just pulling on it. i called it in and guess the owner hasn’t checked it. Great lake and propertyhas so much potential for owner. My dream place for sure. Fishing there is really great also. Sure hope it works out.

Well, happy to see Lakota is back even though it is limited in days available. However, the hardest thing is it is now back to two person minimum. Tat makes me sad as both times I went there, it was only me, so limits my ability to go again and it really is a great lake and close. Guess I will be traveling further as most of my fishing is weekdays and only me most times. Lakota has been one of my favorites.

Yes. Lakota is back open for 2022. However we are only fishing the lake 3 days a month. With such limited availability we need to maximize its use. Dale, you might want to direct message some of the other Houston members to find a partner to share the lake with or bring a guest. 

Yes Steve, i will definatelybegoing again, just likely not as much as I would have liked. Itbis a great lake 5o fish and very beautiful property. Happy to get it back in the club! It is even the closest to travel too also for me.
