maybe all the rain and changing water level along with march, april fishing ... once stablized it should get back to normal...always has (hope so)

There was something posted recently about cormorants and otters, I seem to remember.
We had issues with otters and cormorants at Deer Trail in the past, but have not had those issues at Timber Lake as far as we know.

Status of Timber LakeI am curious about the fishing at Timber Lake. Maybe I have missed a post on this, but noticed that the last few reports have seemed out of character for this lake. Reservations seem to have fallen off as well. Any updates on what may be affecting the fishing there?
The few reports we have received for Timber Lake have been slower than the previous years. Lakes are ever changing and evolving eco systems and thousands of factors are in play. It is possible that something negatively has impacted the lake or it is possible the fishing has just been slow this year. I don't want to jump to any conclusions on what may or may not have happened. We will continue to monitor the lake and evaluate the reports and let you guys know the status. We have been in frequent contact with the owner and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary; other than the lake has risen 8 feet in the last 60 days. Once the rain lets up; I would give it a shot.

Hey Larry,
I had a trip out there last month and didn't do very well. In February, we had a great trip. I thought this year would be similar or better to last year but I haven't found that to be true. The lake looked GREAT. There was so much water that the fish had plenty of available cover up in the shallows. It appears Timber may be in a little bit of a funk but that much water, that quickly, can sure do that. I'm hoping this lake gets back to the way it was before too long.
