Weaving my way around the wind-rowed hay to the bank led me a really hot spot. First a barndoor crappie, then a nice bass, followed by more hits on a spinner. The cows dropped by to say hello and looked for a handout and then went about their business and sampled the hay before it got bailed. The bite lasted only a short time. The only other hit was on a Zoom June Bug trick worm off the dam in a couple of hours of fishing. She fought so hard I heard my 40 year old rod, a veteran of many a larger catch, crack, A brief dance on the surface, the spitting of the Zoom, and then it disappeared. 
 
The water clarity has improved and though there is some vegation, it wasn’t an issue.
