My wife & I arrived mid afternoon to very windy conditions.  Couldn’t fish the big lake in the boat, so we fished the pond (Bill, thanks for last weekend’s report).  Caught several 1# - 2# on Senkos.  The bluegill kept my wife busy practicing with the flyrod.  Met the landowner & wife when he came to feed the fish.
Early evening we walked the bank of the big lake.  Lots of vegetation - no fish.
Sunday morning the wind was still relentless, so we opted for the pond again.  Not a bad choice since we couldn’t keep count of # caught!  Started the morning with poppers - conventional & flyrod.  Largest today was 2 1/2# bass.
Great time on a small pond.
Sidebar:  met the owner of China Grove on our way out.  He mentioned a group this weekend caught & ate 380 bluegill from his lake!
