Hit the small lake about 2 pm. Walked up side across from doc and landed two with another good blow up. Had small blow up at the dam. Had most fish from right next to dock all the way up the doc side to the upper end. All on a black/blue black blade buzz bait. Fish were near shore like in the spring. The weather was perfect with heavy clouds and little to no wind after about 3. Wind blew about 10 to maybe 12 mph before 3.  Finally lost the buzz bait due to not retying. Line broke on a fish on a straight pull and a crimp in the line at the end after getting it in.  No other fish on buzz bait or spinnerbait after that  :(      Caught 7 plus the one that broke off.  All but one dink, was just shy of 2 lb. up to about 2.75

Went to big lake and got the boat out around 4:45.  The water is up in both lakes. Had bites throughout the lake but could not get a decent fish in the upper end. Quit going further where the lake narrows down to the main creek and flats. Came back down toward boat launch and the dam and caught the most fish there. Best baits were a Yellow Magic and a Ribbit Frog. The Yellow Magic had to be sitting still to get bit. At the dam there were a couple large grass beds which held the larger fish that were caught. Probably could have flipped a jig by these grass beds and done even better but it was hard to put down the topwater. Stopped fishing around 7:50 so maybe 30 minutes before last cast in time to get loaded. A lot of cows around the ramp area which was cool as at times they were not just standing but seemed to be doing short gallops and butting heads like rams but not aggressive. Have not seen that before.  All in all a good day with 14 fish over two lbs. and a couple of those 3lb.- 4.55
