This was our 2^nd time at Malouf and I am glad we came back.  My 6yr old son caught 5 LMB the first time there and he was ecstatic.  Yesterday he crushed and caught 12 – and even beat me in regards to having the biggest catch of the day.  Most of the action was on the north/deep side fishing right up near the grass/cover and around and inbetween the trees in the middle section of the lake.  But we did catch the biggest 2 at the south end in very shallow waters.  All of the fish were on the smaller side and a majority were definitely under 14 inches.  

Highlight of the day – besides Cole catching 12 bass – was the double-catch with both of us reeling ones in at the same time (see pic).  Malouf is awesome – but if you are looking for bigger size bass I would look at other lakes.  But without a doubt – this is the lake I would take any first-timer too and/or if I am ever bringing younger kids (besides my son).
