First the good news.

Brushy Creek now has a code activated gate so that will hopefully detract some unwanted trespassers.
I also caught a nice 4-5 lb bass at noon on a whooper popper.

Now the bad news.

The water level is extremely low and I even considered leaving and not even trying to launch my kayak. I had to paddle and push the kayak for probably  50 yards before I could use the motor. I only managed to catch two while fishing from about 8-1.

I did have some issues loading the kayak as it wanted to float off the trailer runners.

I am not planning to return until there is considerable rainfall.

I was planning to go this week. Luckily I read this so I know not to take the boat. How was the lake past the creek? Is it choked with weeds like some reports said?
