This was my second trip to Hat & Star Ranch. Both times I spent the night in the cabin. It's well worth it being such a beautiful place. 

Spent the morning hunting for the big bass with no luck. I threw everything in my big bass arsenal and nothing.
Very little activity in the lake other than the normal schooling bass in the usual places. By lunchtime, we gave up on big fish and decided to go for numbers.

After a trip to Walmart to buy some beetle spins and rooster tails, it was game on. 42 bass culled one 3.5 one 5.3 lbs bass on a rooster tail!
