Bank fished for 8:30 AM until 2 PM. It as 45 degrees when I arrived but warmed to 70 about noon. Water level was down about 3 feet and visibility was good. There was a slight breeze and partly cloudy skys. There was no visibile surface vegetation around the main lake. There was what appeared to be some waterhyacinth hugging the shore of the adjoining small pond behind the bridge.

Caught 6 off the dam and 5 from the adjoining small pond.  Largest was 17 inches. All looked very healthy. Primary bait was a 5 inch Tiki-Bamboo Stick, Watermellon Red, rigged wacky style. Had no luck with a chatter bait or silver square bill.

The Rancher mentioned they had now stopped raising cattle and now concentrated on hay production. As such the property was well mowed and easy to get around on foot or by truck if you are so inclined. I did notice a few nice stands of native praire grasses like Little Blue Stem and Silver Blue.
