Booked a P.M. trip started at noon water level is several feet low, but was still able to use the boat ramp.Water temp 55 with around 5ft vis the lake looked very clean and grass of any kind is not a problem. Went to check in on the back lake at it is extremley low with a lot of surface grass. I caught some great fish out of it earlier in the spring and i hope we get some good rain this winter. I fished the big lake and was targeting crappie today so i only brought light tackle and fished with a 1/16 oz white jig head with a white grub i found them stacked up underneath the pier and out at the brush piles i probably caught over 50 little ones today all 10 inches the big ones were tight lipped. I did manage to catch 10 that were 11-13 inchs and i caught 4 bass under the slot all of those were culled. This lake is full of crappie and it made for a fun afternoon. I think adding more brush or structure would help this lake out alot.
