Arrived  7AM – Air Temp 50 degrees / Water Temp 53 degrees. 

Launched Kayak at boat ramp and immediatly noticed the bass were crashing the shad in the far right corner of the dam.  (wind blown). 

Caught 2 just under 16” and had high hopes for an outstanding day.  Then the grind began ;) 

Caught a total of 9 fish with just 3 over 16”.  Biggest fish was 17 3/4” weighing in at 3.75 pounds. (all LMB).  Left the lake at 3PM.  Water temp was 56 degrees.  Air temp was 62 degrees.  Very warm water for Feb 5th.  

Hat & Star Ranch is a wonderful property and very well maintained.  Meet the owner and I look forward to coming back soon to chase those big bass that eluded me this time around.
