The big sows eluded us but we loved fishing Hat & Star. They were still in prespawn stage because we didn't see any on beds. The fish were still suspended out in deeper water and hard to catch. We caught the bucks all day. My brother and I wished he had livescope on his boat. Hopefully next time he will! Having livescope would be a huge advantage right now. Did not see a whole lot of bait nor baitfish getting pushed up on the shorelines. The lake was clear on the southern end and stained on the northern arms. We culled 17, probably missed 17, and released 1. Until next time, thank you owner and PWF!
