Had a nice outing on Friday afternoon with cloudy and warm start. and wind 10-15 wih gusts into the 20’s.  Lake is full and water extremely clear.  A short period of gusty winds and a brief light rain in mid-afternoon started clearing the skies and warmed temp to 90.  The bite was fairly steady in many parts of the lake until skies completely cleared in late afternoon.  Tried several typical types of lures but limited success with anything but SP.  Sizes of fish caught were smaller than in previous years, with most in the 12-15” range.  All looked healthy.  Saw many carp in the shallow grass.

The area around the lake is lush and green – much different than the surrounding area – and the pavilion area is immaculate.  Thanks to the landowner and club for making this beautiful property available to enjoy!
