Fished tree farm just southeast of Houston, the morning of July 4.  Nice large lake with multiple depths.  Caught about 8 fish total, most on crank baits, and most of those in deep water (15+ ft).  Tried jig and pig, weightless sinking worms, Texas rigged worm and lizard—nada, but a couple dinks.  Largest fish about 2.5 lbs, but good fight.  Harvested 4 fish total under 14 inches, about 4 pounds total weight.  Only fished the main lake.  The boat was heavy for one person but stable, and leaks enough that you had to bale water about every 30 mintues.

I have never been able to catch any fish deep at this location.  I have only got into to them with some good numbers a couple of times and that was right next to the concrete using a sex shad crank bait.  East around the submerged trees.  The smaller lake to the south, I have got into them with a berkley grass pig and a black worm with chartreus trail. Never have got a dink at this location.
