Water clear, air temp 98, 5-10 mph.  Topwater bite was very good at 6AM.  Hated to leave the launch area, where we caught several 2-pounders.  Barry Janssen stole the show with best 5 bass totalling 16.1.  My best 5 were 13.12.  Barry caught a couple of the biggest 4.6 and 4.4 lbs.  Texas-rigged brush hogs, Senko’s and horny toads (watermelon red) were baits of choice.  We had a slight mishap—flat tire on our jonboat trailer.  But the 9G Ranch foreman (Juan) hurried to our rescue and we were able to make it back to McKinney.
We’ll definitely return.
