Late report, computer at home broke. Fished on Saturday 7/21/12 from around 4 pm till 8:30 pm. It was very hot when I got there and stayed that way till I left. The lake is down very low and off colored. I saw very little vegetation and really no weed growth on the surface. It needs some structure of some kind for the baitfish. I ended up up hooking around 10, bringing 5 to bank, rest threw hook before landing them. All fish were 12” or smaller, kept the 5. They were also very white in color. Caught half on lizards and other half on spinnerbait. Tried everything I had and they just wouldn’t bite. Both fish and myself thought it was to hot to even be out there. The lake needs some rain/fresh water to help it. It is a nice piece of property, had to go thru 3 gates to get to lake but a nice drive on good roads thru the property. Will go back after it gets some much needed rain.  Bank fishing is easy around the whole lake.

The color of the water is from an incredible good phytoplankton bloom. In clear water fish become very dark, in off colored water fish are light in color. The color of the fish does not factor in the health of the fish. The lake is void of much vegetation, because the water clarity is an awesome at about 15 inches. However, the lake is in need of structure, like brush piles. We are addressing these issues. In the meantime lets harvest!
