Reserved for the day as I was on kid duty doing school drop off’s and pick-ups.  Got on the lake about 10 am and was off by 1:45.

Water was 82 degrees.  Sunny.  Numerous bass over 14”.  Kept 2 under 14” and 5 very nice crappie. 

The bass seemed to like spinner baits, and the crappie liked chartreuse marabou jigs.  I used a top-water Sebiele bait in the shallow area around the duck blind with pretty good results.  I’ve got the Hobie Pro Angler with the H-bar and standing up it was like sight fishing for reds. 

The dogs that came to visit at lunch were very friendly and love beef sticks and crackers.  This is a great location, and I can’t wait to bring the family out for the weekend when the lodging becomes available.
