Finally found an open 1/2 day slot available at the new club property 9G Ranch. I was stoked as I had fished it once back in July with moderate to good results. Overcaset conditions with a high temperature near 80 - I thought we would kill them!
Fished from 1:30 pm - 7:00 pm with 4 total fish. All fish were in the 15” to 16” inch range, nothing harvested.
The lake is considerably lower than it was back in July. It’s fishing very small and I believe has been hammered with fishing pressure since opening as a PWF property. The calendar is booked solid in Septemeber, so I’m assuming some of those are black out dates, which I think this property needs after 4 session this weekend.
Lot’s of potential, especially if we catch some water.

Hi Ron,
Few people would argue that fishing pressure has an effect on how the fish bite. And too much pressure can and does slow the bite. At PWF we spend alot more time than it might seem in analyzing each lake to determine how much fishing pressure a lake can handle. The demand to fish this lake is very high, as it is the new toy in the club. Anytime we open a new lake, the demand is at its highest. I’m sure we have turned downed many reservations, but feel it is best for the long term effect. However, for transparency reasons, I am happy to share with you and others that we have 6 full day reservations, and 6 half days during the month of September. This is more reservations than we would normally accept for a single month, but always have to balance demand vs rest . The reservations will slow as the newness of the lake wears off and we open new lakes.
