We fished the turf tanks yesterday. My oh my there is water, lots of water. Started fishing top water at the break of dawn. We caught probably 30 fish for the day. Five of the fish were better than four pounds. The fish are spawned out and baby bass and minnows all over the tanks. We fished from the boat in the morning until lunch time. We did OK but alot of water to fish. After lunch we decided to sight fish from the banks. First fish sighted was a four plus pounder on a white spinner. So we walked back and forth between the two main tanks. We used white spinners, flukes and red shad worms. For top water horny toads, buzz baits and pop-r. When the front moved in late in the afternoon the fish shutdown. Met the owner and he was interested in our photos of the large fish and what we were using. He asked us to pull the sunken boat to shore which we did. He is still pumping water into the tanks from across the road. Just a great day. The water is clear and makes it easy to sight fish. There are also plenty of big Gars if you want. We will be back plus this site in 3 years should be explosive with big bass with all the available water for them to roam and for the fry to hide.
