The wife an I fished Weston SW Lake from 2PM to sundown at 7PM. Beautiful bluebird mild day with light wind. Caught only 4, one was under the 14 inch limit. Others were healthy and scrappy up to 2.5 pounds. Drought has taken a toll and half of the lake is two feet deep or less - down 3.5 to 4 feet. But the brush piles are productive. Best area for us was the deepest parts of the lake on the west side and the northwest corner. Caught one on a shallow crank bait, one on a Texas rigged senko and two after 6Pm on a noisy buzzbait. Fish are definitely relating to the submerged timber and brush piles! Be sure and hit the visible cover when you go. Saw some large carp in the middle of the lake. Still a great place to fish (but less area to cover at present). We willl definitely be back.
