I had a great day on the lake with my guest Paul Kadane on Saturday. We had a blast celebrating his 40 years on this earth and mine is coming up fast-WOW!!
We caught two 5lbers and harvested about 10 under 14 inches and caught about 5 others that were about 16 inches. The Yates are awesome as always and the lake is a full pool and beautiful. I lost one monster which was ok due to having already caught 2 over 10lbs out there already and some over 8lbs. 10” Power Worms always due the trick for me as we got bites of all sizes and seem to every time out there.

Brad,
Glad to hear the 10” Power Worms are your go to bait at Yates. That has been my choice as well, though I’m way behind you on the size taken. My three trips have resulted in several 5 to 6 lb fish, but the baits also take the smaller fish with regularity.
I can’t wait to get back there again and experience the Yates’ hospitality. Thanks for the report!
