I fished this property on October 15th from 8:30 AM till 6 PM and caught about 19.  I did take a break for lunch from 1-2:30.  The Patio Cafe in Medina is a good place to eat as it is mainly outside seating - recommend the apple pie (Medina is the apple capital of Texas).  Now back to fishing.

A front came through the night before so I think that slowed down the bite.

Conditions:

cloudy
water temp: 71
air temp: 56-78
not much wind

The only lure/color was a mid-diving crank bait in orange/black/silver.  It appeared they wanted something with a good flash fished with a steady retrieve.

Unsuccessful lures:

- Deep/shallow cranks
- hard jerk
- rattle trap (even in silver/balck)
- torpedo
- fluke/senko (weighted and unweighted)
- Texas-rigged work
- jig

Any size to those Bill? My father and I go there a few times a year and catch a lot but I dont know for sure if we’ve caught more than a few over a pound. Thx for your posts. Trent

Most were 1 to 1 1/2 pounds. Most were agressive and fought bigger than their size. I have caught some larger in past years, but this year more quantity than size.
