My daughter caught 4 very nice crappie using a 1/2 oz lipless crank fishing for bass. They were shallow in 2-4' over grass. Find the grass you'll find the bass And crappie. The crappie were spawning. I believe you would catch a mess of big crappie if you downsize on the cranks or throw crappie jigs. Our afternoon was cut short when the TM battery died on the opposite side on this windy day. We had to paddle against the wind back to the launch. My daughter jumped in to use the leg stroke while I paddled, haha. We ended with 41 culls, 4 crappie, and a 6# plus. The crappie were bigger than the culls. Daughter was happy. Property has an awesome 14' jon boat. Thank you owner and PWF!
