We live in Colorado. I fished this property last September, and it was so incredibly hot (98 degrees), that all the bass were deep in the weeds, and very difficult to get to. But it still looked promising on account of all the blowups around me, so I wanted to come back on a nice warm spring day and give it a try. Well, that didn’t happen. We got snowed in in Lubbock (was there for Dad’s weeekend), and our early morning flight got cancelled, so we had to leave to drive to Dallas at 0400, change rental cars at DFW, got the boat out of a storage locker, and ended up arriving at the property at about noon. There had been two straight days of rain in the area, and the lake looked like chocolate milk, and it was very cold and windy. We passed on Bluebonnet, and went up and fished Mesquite Valley. The water there was clear. We just bank fished with Senko’s and Flukes, and caught 15. It was my 17 year old son’s first trip, and he actually out fished the old man. We ended up with 15, mostly buck bass, and left around 6 pm.  So, last September, i had to keep getting into my truck to turn on the air conditioner, and this time we had to keep getting in the truck to turn on the heater. I will give this property another chance, as I really want to hit it on a good day!
