Windy and cloudy day, started fishing right at sunup. No top water action at all, struck out on buzzbaits and Yellow Magics. Switched to a swim bait and caught one small one, tried deep diving shad-patterned crank baits and caught two more small ones. No action on a Rattletrap for a while, then caught a 3-lber on a chartreuse 3/8 spinner bait under the dock. Fished a Texas-rigged watermelon seed baby brush hog from 10 to noon with no action on that at all.

Steve’s right, the lake is easily covered in just a half day. Nice way to spend a morning, and still made it home to catch the Texans game starting in the second quarter.
