Fished BlackJack on a sunny clear day with light winds.  The ranch is well manicured as always and a great place to enjoy a day out.  The lake is a several feet below full pool.  Grass is prevalent in much of the lake, up to the surface in shallow parts.  Visibility 5 ft or more. 

Had lots of action in most areas and caught fish all around the lake.  Saw several carp working in the very weedy north end but didn’t spend much time there, although a few were caught there.  Many fish in the 14 to 16 inch range, only 2 dinks, and all were willing fighters, along with about a dozen aggressive sunfish of several types.  Best results came with several types & colors of soft plastics and with various crankbaits.  Both attracted fish over shallow grass and when run deeper.  A weightless craw pulled in a long 6 lb and the 8 lb best-of-the-day hit a favorite crankbait – no big bellies on either one.
