We arrived at 7 AM to light breeze, scattered clouds, 68 degree water. There lake had 1 foot visibility with a slight amount of algae forming on the surface. 
 

We wanted to fish topwater and selected a deer hair diver in olive to mimic the frogs we could hear chirping. We began near the boat ramp and didn't get any bites. We went to the top of the lake and had the first hit off some grass in 2 feet of water. It was a healthy two pounder released to fight again. We continued on the north side and had some more fish hit the fly near the grass line.  We worked the frog until lunch with 6 fish caught. Not the best fishing, but still a great day for a rookie bass fly angler. After lunch we switched to a streamer and worked the flats adjacent to the creek channel and caught the biggest bass and a crappie.
