Fished a breezy Wednesday afternoon at the beautiful Lago Escondido. Mostly cloudy until 4pm, then the skies cleared and it got quite arm in the sun!  Winds were mostly 10 to 15 mph until early evening.  Water is at a fairly high level with visibility around 4 ft.  Weeds were not a problem although I ran into a little snot grass here and there.

After a bit of a slow start, caught fish fairly steadily in most areas of the lake and had several periods of fast action.  Some usual places brought surprising few bites.  Found many near a couple of the banks and in/around lily pads.  Soft Plastics of several types, sizes & colors were the most productive overall, along with flashy crankbaits in deeper water.  Unfortunately did not locate any big girls this trip but the number of  fish, the waterfowl all round, a chatty gobbler and some thirsty deer helped make a really enjoyable afternoon out.
