We got a late start due to waiting out a thunderstorm around our house. Not sure if it hit Ferris at all. We probably should have tried for first light. We were out there from about 8:30 to 5:00 with a good shore lunch break. Property looks fantastic – so green everywhere – the lake was as full as I've seen it. We fought a strong and gusty SSE wind all day – that and a pretty significant algae bloom tempered our catch rate. Of the 12 we landed, five were unders, and five of those released were solid and chunky fighters between 2.8 and 4.16. Most effective lures were - weightless, T-Rig Senko in variety of green. The bites were super subtle and they wouldn't chase anything. Familiar refrain for the last few weeks it seems like. The owner came around a couple of times and really wanted to be sure we were having a good time and catching some fish. Much appreciated!
