Reservation Number : 43257
Property Name : Travis Lake
Reservation Date : 04/26/2025 AM -
Total Fish/Sizes : 8 Bass: 2 under 14 inch, 6 over, largest being about 2 pounds
Lures Used : Black and blue weightless senko, white 6 inch mag draft swimbait

Fished from about 7-12. Water was cold with all the rain we got with about a foot of visibility. Was cloudy all day long. Fishing started off slow, working down the shallow bank on the right side of the dock. I threw chatterbaits, buzzbaits and a Texas-rigged craw and diodnt have a single bite for about an hour. Decided it was time for a weightless senko and sure enough, within a few casts, I finally landed one. Stuck with that technique the rest of the day as that was all they were biting. All of the fish were caught near the vegetation around the pond's perimeter in very shallow water on the black and blue senko. As I was packing up, I threw around a mag draft near the dam and landed the biggest of the day (about 2 pounds) cool way to end the day.

Did the lake look like chocolate milk or just very stained. Vis of a foot is normal for that lake as it is turbid

I think it was more on the stained side, not exactly chocolate milk, but very stained. I included a photo.

Good to know! I was reading a lot of the reports, and I have been seeing similar things. This was my first time out to a PWF property so it was a pretty good first experience

Welcome to the club!  Check out Tara, good fish in there. Had several good days, recently a 28lb too 5 fish day. Decided to go Pecan Gap tomorrow. That lake best when you go especially first time- expect nothing. Fish are pampered and you are in their turf. Had some good days there, but also a couple skinners. Cody Ranch lakes have some good fishing. Lots of lakes to choose from. Study reports, I have been in club just over 4 yrs and am having a blast . Again welcome!
