Wow. I've been chasing a 5 pound bass catch for many years. Today, I smashed that with a nearly 9 pounder!

we fished from 6:30am until about 11am, catching mostly dinks  

we were trolling the North East shore line (near all the trees) when I got caught up on a log, so I thought! My motor bogged down, I quickly threw it in reverse (thinking I hooked a tree) and my rod kept bending. What an experience! I had to stop for a while – I was too shaken to keep fishing!
