I took my son for the AM slot to Cordo. I have fished it many times. The notable difference this time (besides the bridge being gone) was the percentage of fish over the 15” limit.

I caught all 10 as my son got frustrated and hot early on. He opted to sit out most of the day. Besides 1 spinnerbait bite, everything was on some sort of soft plastic. I landed a few on a purple senko. I got several bites on a baby brush hog. Funny enough, they were caught on the creature bait using 3 different rigging methods (Texas, Carolina and swinging jig head). 
I took limited tackle knowing it would be a short trip. I was counting on bluegill imitations at first. I was surprised to see the multitude of crawfish mounds and shells in the grass. One of the bass also had a mouth full of red crawfish. Having not brought any craws or even anything red, I used what I had. 

I mentioned the increased percentage of returned bass. In the past, I would return around 25-30%. This time, half were over the 15” mark. That is good for the lake.
