I fished Saturday from 9A to 5P. Fishing was tough. I’ve fished here 4 other times and have always enjoyed good numbers and size.  I caught 5 total, none of which were bigger than 1.5 lbs or so. It appears there are still plenty of good fish but there was such thick vegetation that every cast was a chore. I caught a couple on Texas rigged plastics but even with those it was a hassle to retrieve. I switched to top water poppers and frogs and caught a couple more. A little more depth here would help. The landowner mentioned they were going to start pumping water in soon, but his son in law told me the same thing back in April. I’m hoping they do so soon.
