Total Fish/Sizes : 7 total; the culls were 12-14”; the keepers were around 2-3 lbs.
Lures Used : Frog (several misses); senko

It has been over two months since I had fished as I was recovering from spinal cord surgery and decided to try fishing the morning at Escondido to see how well I had recovered my strength and stamina. 

At least I didn't have any issues related to my strength or stamina. Unfortunately, the fishing didn't match the Bass app rating of Epic. 
 

Escondido is full, but the lily pads are in places where I have never seen them before. At the launch site and completely around the swimming pier. 
 

I got on the water around 7AM and left at noon. 
 

The top water bit was on initially, but I only landed one and missed or lost several. 
 

After that, there was no real pattern and my usual areas didn't produce as they normally do. 
 I could see multiple groups on my fish finder, but could not entice them to bite. 
 

Water clarity was good. I do plan to return as I enjoy this property and the less than an hour drive
