I have seen cows there drink from the club boat (vid on one of my previous reports) at Travis. I have caught a bass off of one of those cows standing in 3’ water. Never seen them swim there before. Very nice. Did see cows swim across neck across from launch area at Tara last year. Cool sight to see. Yes, Bovines swim!

What a cool story and experience John!

They had a white small crane standing on them at times in the water.  Looked like they may have been cleaning bugs from off the cows.

Those are cattle egrets and they like to hang around any livestock that lets them. As the cattle move around , so do crickets, grass hoppers, and most anything g else that moves along the ground they can swallow. That egret on the cow was showing trust between both species. They b chillin’ at the Lake Travis watering hole! I am sure if it saw something land or crawling on said bovine it would have had a snacky.
