My 2 sons and I fished Legacy Oaks on 8/23 all day. We were on the water by 7:30 and fished until 6 with a break in the heat of the day. We managed to catch 51 between us with 25 culls. The main pattern we found was to use drop shots and soft plastics about 2-15 ft off the banks right where the submerged vegetation clears up and the water gets a little deeper. We had the most success using the wind current while doing this in our boats. We also caught several by the timber piles. I tried targeting bass in the thick vegetation in the shallow water. I had two blow ups but was not able to land either of them. We didn't have a fish finder so we didn't specifically try to drop shot any in the deeper parts of the lake. Visibility was about 2 ft and the water was stained. Vegetation is not a big issue at this lake and it is a blast to fish. We had a great time.
