I had 2 guests out at Horse Creek on Sunday AM and together we shot our 3 limits. Mixed bag as everyone else is seeing, ringnecks, wigeon, a couple teal, 1 mallard. No real big ducks, but a great morning and we were out by 10AM.
We set-up the Blind on the Northeast side of the lake, facing the West, so the sun is at your back all AM. The water gets deep pretty quick, but you can toss your decoys out from shore(check how much string/weight you have or they might float on you in higher winds), you just need the boat to pick-up your decoys. Bring Oars, but the jon boat there works fine for picking up decoys and retreiving ducks. You can drive around the top of the dam and drop your gear right there and go park from there.
Good Luck, this is a great property.
