Fingerling
Saturday, I was shut out from sunup to noon on gold and white buzz baits, chrome Pop-R’s, yellow/white spinner baits, red Rattle traps, and chrome crank baits. Switched to a Carolina rigged watermelon seed baby brush hog around one and that did the trick. Caught eight between one and sundown and had another half dozen hits, all small (biggest was a pound and a half) but still fun.
Sunday I started out right at sunup with a chrome baby Spook and they loved it. Boated another 6 between sunup and 9 am with as many hits that I missed. Fished the brush hog again for another hour before I had to leave and caught one more.
Beautiful weather both days, and the cabin was great.
